We are seeking experienced Boeing Flight Simulator Instructors to join our Flight Simulator Training team in Auckland. In this pivotal role, you will help shape the next generation of pilots through high-quality simulator instruction, ensuring our flight crew continue to operate safely and confidently across our network.


As part of an innovative and forward-thinking training environment, you will work with state-of-the-art simulation technology and collaborate with some of the industry’s most experienced aviation professionals.


About the role

  • Deliver flight simulator and classroom instruction to Boeing pilots, supporting initial, recurrent and upgrade training
  • Conduct flight checks, assessments and evaluations in line with NZCAA Part 121 standards
  • Contribute to training program development to ensure continuous improvement and compliance
  • Maintain training records and ensure accuracy in performance reporting
  • Collaborate with operational and training teams to uphold Air New Zealand’s high standards of safety and performance
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to pilots, fostering a learning culture built on excellence and support.


What you’ll bring

  • Eligibility to live and work permanently in New Zealand at the time of applying (NZ Citizen, NZ Permanent Resident, or Australian Citizen)
  • NZCAA CPL or ATPL
  • B787/ B777 operational experience
  • Meet the requirements to hold a NZCAA Part 121 Flight Examiner approval
  • Hold a B787 or B777 type rating
  • Instructional experience in an airline environment
  • Minimum 3000 hours total flight time
  • 1500 hours pilot-in-command of a Part 121 aircraft
  • 750 hours pilot-in-command multi-engine.
